Website privacy notice

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This notice covers the Craft App Co. website at craftapp.co and enquiries sent to hello@craftapp.co. Our apps have their own privacy policies, linked from their product pages.

Who is responsible

Ben Gilroy, trading as Craft App Co., is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Contact hello@craftapp.co with privacy questions or requests.

Visiting the website

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, the requested page, request time and browser information to deliver content, maintain reliability and protect against abuse. We can view service metrics through Cloudflare's dashboard.

The website has no visitor accounts, contact forms or advertising. Images and styles are served with the website. Cloudflare may use security cookies when its protection features require them. Read more in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how well the website performs. It provides aggregate reports about page views, visits, referrers, countries, browsers and loading performance. We use these statistics to improve the website, not for advertising or individual profiles. It does not track App Store or email-link clicks.

Cloudflare's analytics beacon does not use cookies or browser storage to identify visitors. Cloudflare receives an IP address when handling the analytics request but says it discards it at its nearest data centre. Read more in Cloudflare's analytics privacy information.

Turn off website analytics at any time. We also keep it off when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Your choice is saved in this browser's local storage until you change it or clear that storage. This stores only your preference, not a visitor ID. Make the choice separately in each browser or device you use.

Turning analytics off reloads the page to stop the beacon. Requests already sent cannot be recalled. If your browser cannot read your saved preference, analytics stays off. Choosing to turn it off does not affect browsing or support.

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the contents of your message and attachments. We use this information to answer your enquiry, provide support and keep track of related correspondence. Email is handled through Google Workspace. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.

Why we use this information

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving a reliable, secure website and responding to people who contact us. Where correspondence is necessary to provide a service you have requested or meet a legal obligation, we may also rely on those grounds. We do not use website visits or support correspondence to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare processes website traffic and aggregate analytics, and Google processes email on our behalf. These providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. Their applicable data processing terms describe the safeguards used for international transfers, including contractual safeguards where required. See Cloudflare's data processing terms and Google Workspace's data processing terms. We may also disclose information when required by law.

How long information is kept

We keep enquiry and support correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the request, related follow-up and any applicable legal obligations. We consider the nature of the enquiry, whether the issue remains open and whether records are needed to resolve a dispute. Technical information processed by Cloudflare is subject to the retention periods for its services. Cloudflare Web Analytics makes reports available for the previous six months. Analytics data is kept in Cloudflare rather than a separate database operated by this website.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing and receive certain information in a portable format. To make a request, email hello@craftapp.co.

You can also complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.

Links to the App Store and other websites take you to services operated by other organisations. Their own privacy notices apply when you visit them. Updates to this notice will appear here with a revised date.
